Weed Control – Blackberries

image Blackberries are the major weed targeted by landcare in the Hughes Creek Catchment.

All landholders are required to control blackberries on the properties under the CALP act which is policed by  DEPI  compliance officers.

Unfortunately State Government funding cuts have meant that landcare can no longer subsidise the cost of chemicals used to control blackberries.

To assist landholders control blackberries Landcare does have spray  units for hire . These trailer mounted units have two hand pieces and long hoses. Cost $30 per day  or $100 unlimited use for 1 year.
